Transform a Child’s Life

Sudha’s Pay it forward Journey

Sudha lost her parents at a tender age, and she was subject to a lot of emotional pain and suffering. She also needed financial aid to continue her education.

At this juncture, she was informed about Udhavum Ullangal, which sponsored her education to college. This gift of knowledge helped her take up a successful career and she decided to pay it forward by becoming one of the mentors in UU’s mentoring program for youngsters. She is leading now a grateful and happy life which is instrumental in motivating everyone is part of UU team to continue our journey to help others for many years to come …

Udhavum Ullangal has given and will continue to give opportunities for millions of people who are living in the hope that someday, they will find happiness and peace in their lives.

Harsha’s Goal

Listen to this cheerful, bright brave heart Harsha. She is our recent beneficiary from Tirunelveli, who is only in 7th grade but has astounding clarity on pursuing her goal to become a Pulmonologist. She lost her Father who was a construction worker due to COVID-19.

Thanks to her late father who was instrumental in sowing a strong seed in this young mind, before he died to become a doctor when she grew up -to save lives.

A Mother’s Thank you!!

Our happiness knew no bounds when we knew that we could support a Mother in her journey to provide a continuing education for her daughter.

Mrs. P. Santhanalakshmi lost her Husband and was in immense agony and concern when we met her in the school as she was grieving her husband’s loss a few months back owing to COVID-19. She was facing financial problems in meeting her family’s day-to-day needs

Mrs. P. Santhanalakshmi expressed her gratitude to us, from the bottom of her heart for fully knowing that her child’s education would be sponsored and felt relieved that Nansei and UU have stood together in securing the future of her child.

The Family with a Dream

This family hailing from a remote village in Tiruvannamalai consists of 3 young children who lost their father to Covid 19, recently.

The mother Mrs. R. Malar is a hard-working daily wage laborer, with no steady employment and is currently the only breadwinner in the whole family with no other support.

The family lives on a hand-to-mouth existence with constant anxiety about the fact of how little they have shared their request to lead a respectful life and their dreams – One of the children wants to be a doctor, while her siblings aspire to be a police officer and an advocate.

Nan Sei and UU have sponsored the education of all three children as we strongly believe that when a community thrives, its people thrive, and their homes are just the beginning of a bright future for all those underprivileged sections in our society today.

Sathya’s Empowerment Journey

The prerequisites of any success story often include a lot of struggles accompanied by pain. The journey of Sathya is one such story. After the death of her husband unfortunately she felt she nearly had lost everything in life.

She was looking for support, when Udhavum Ullangal stepped in and enrolled her into their skill development training workshops to empower women. In this workshop, she was trained in beautician skills. With guidance from UU, her strength, and determination, she is currently running own successful her beauty parlor.
